Cornerstone Preferred Resources (CPR) is a Third Party Administrator headquartered in Houston, Texas. An approved Administrator for a number of highly rated stop-loss companies, we serve mid-size employers nationwide and provide clients with tailored claims administration—medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and stop-loss administration—and a full range of related support functions.

Since our founding in 1996, we have faithfully adhered to the principles of personalized, flexible service delivered by dedicated, knowledgeable, and courteous health professionals. At CPR, we work in concert with brokers and benefit consultants to design and implement plans specific to our clients’ needs. These services often include access to health care networks, medical management programs, COBRA, HIPAA, and wellness programs.

CPR is an active member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA).

Our Team

CPR is a family-owned Administrator with a management team that averages more than 20 years of experience in Third Party Administration, health insurance, and managed care. Today, we continue to build and nurture our employer client relationships through unwavering business integrity, customer commitment, and industry knowledge.

At Cornerstone, our goal is to be your preferred third party administrator (TPA) by delivering efficient and professional service using all of our available resources.

William A. O’Keefe

President & CEO

William (Bill) A. O’Keefe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone Preferred Resources (CPR), founded the organization with his late-wife Virginia in 1996. He is responsible for all business development and client relations activities.

Prior to CPR, Bill served as Chief Operating Officer at a Houston-based TPA, responsible for the daily operations of all MIS functions, claims processing, customer service, enrollment, billing, and quality standards. He also provided support and technical consultation to the Sales and Marketing departments.

Jennifer Ratcliff

COO

Jennifer Ratcliff is COO at CPR, responsible for all day-to-day operations and functions, including claims eligibility, billing, reporting, and customer service. She earned her Bachelors of Applied Science in Psychology from the University of Houston. Jennifer began her career at CPR as a customer service representative in 2003, and has steadily advanced, acquiring more knowledge and additional responsibilities.

Karen Jones 

Claims Supervisor

Karen Jones is Claims Manager at CPR, responsible for supervising and assisting Claims Examiners, interacting with stop-loss entities, overseeing claims audits and claims Appeal & Review, and managing statistical analysis and reporting.

Maria Coronel

Customer Service Representative

Maria Coronel is a Customer Service Representative at CPR, responsible for conferring a large volume of incoming calls, including plan participants, in order to provide information about coverage, claims, and eligibility. She is also responsible for plan participant concerns and queries. Her bilingual skills have contributed to our expanding line of communication.

CPR uses a state-of-the-art administrative system to better serve our clients.
